PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN MAKE A MATCH UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPS SISWA KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 1 KAPONTORI KABUPATEN BUTON
Abstract
The formulation of the problem in this study is can the application of the make a match learning model improve the social studies (IPS) learning outcomes of the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Buton regency? The purpose of this study is to determine the increase of IPS learning outcome through the application of make a match learning models at grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Kapontori, Buton Regency. This research is a classroom action research. The subjects of this study were 20 students and teachers of IPS subjects’ grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 of Buton Regency, the instruments used in this study were observations and test. The results of the study showed that the use of cooperative learning Make A Match methods can improve the learning activities of grade VIII students in SMP Negeri 1; 1) in the first cycle student learning activities reached 69% and experienced an increase in the second cycle to 84%. It has achieved the established indicators, at least 70% of all student activities have been carried out; 2) the use of Make a Match learning methods can increase teacher activities in carrying out the learning process. In the first cycle teacher activities reached 75%, experiencing an increase in the second cycle to 94%. This has reached a redetermined indicator which is at least 70% of all teacher activities achieved; 3) the use of cooperative learning on the Make a Match method can improve the learning completeness of grade VIII students at SMPN 1 Kapontori. In the first cycle students' mastery learning only reached 60% and experienced an increase in the second cycle to 80% of all students scored 70. It has reached the predetermined indicators that at least 70% of all students in this learning score 70.
